AT THE AUSTRALIAN CONSULATE IN SAO PAULO

Voting
The
Australian Consulate General in Sao Paulo is located at: Alameda Ministro Rocha Azevedo No. 456, 2o Andar CEP

The Consulate will be open for pre-poll voting for the 9 October federal elections on week days only between 27 September and 8 October at the following times: Monday to Thursday: 0900 to 1230 and 1330 to 1700 Fridays:
0900 to 1300
The
Consulate will not be open for voting on 9 October 2004 as the polls will
have already closed in Australia at this time.
Postal
Votes
Enrolled
voters who are not able to lodge a pre-poll vote may submit a postal
vote to the Consulate. Postal
Vote Applications (PVAs) can be downloaded from the Australian Electoral
Commission’s (AEC) website at www.aec.gov.au/election2004/overseas/index.htm.
Enquiries about postal votes can be made to the AEC at info@aec.gov.au.
The
Consulate is also able to mail or fax PVAs to voters in Sao Paulo.

Completed
PVAs can be faxed to (55 11) 3082 4140, or mailed to the address above.
Please
note that PVAs will not be issued after Wednesday 6 October 2004.
All postal votes returned must be post marked no later than 9
October 2004 to be valid.
PVAs received before the release of ballot papers (which will not occur until after the Declaration
of Nominations on 17 September 2004) will be held and actioned when the
ballot papers are received.
